Through this structure, Jah Livity is authorized to:

All of this takes place within a religious and cultural context, not as recreational or commercial cannabis activity.

Jamaica’s Legal Context
Jamaica formally recognizes the sacramental use of ganja by Rastafarians.
In 2015, amendments to the Dangerous Drugs Act created a regulated framework for lawful ganja use, including religious and sacramental practices. Oversight of this framework is managed by the The Cannabis Licensing Authority (CLA).
EABICCS operates in line with this framework, and Jah Livity functions within EABICCS’ recognized religious structure, respecting both Jamaica’s laws and Rastafarian spiritual tradition.
Adults Only
18+ Serious Business
Jah Livity serves adults 18+ only. All sacramental items are shared responsibly within our religious and cultural framework, and customers may be asked to confirm their age.
No likkle pickney runnings here — respect, responsibility, and grown-folk business only.

About Us
Jah Livity is a Jamaican social enterprise rooted in Rastafarian culture, sacramental ganja, community upliftment, and respect for the land and people who keep this tradition alive.
We are not just here to “sell weed.” That would miss the whole reasoning. Jah Livity was created to help visitors understand the deeper story behind ganja in Jamaica — the spiritual meaning, the cultural roots, the farmers, the elders, the reasoning, and the communities that have carried this sacred herb long before it became trendy around the world.
Our work supports small Rastafarian farmers, community initiatives, cultural education, and the preservation of Rastafarian traditions. We believe ganja should be shared with respect, not treated like just another tourist souvenir.
Rastafari is more than a religion alone. It is a way of life, a spiritual movement, and a powerful part of Jamaica’s identity. Through Jah Livity, we aim to share that culture in a way that is honest, respectful, and easy for visitors to understand.
As we say in Jamaica, “Wi likkle but wi tallawah.” Small team, big mission, One Love at the heart of it.
Cannabis in Jamaica
Decriminalized Does Not Mean Anything Goes
Many visitors hear that ganja is “legal” in Jamaica, but the truth needs a little more reasoning.
Jamaica has decriminalized small personal possession, but that is not the same as full recreational legalization. In simple terms, possession of small amounts may be treated as a ticketable offence instead of a criminal court matter, but that does not mean cannabis can be bought, sold, carried, or smoked anywhere without rules.
Public smoking restrictions still apply. Larger quantities can still create serious legal problems. And buying from random street hustlers can bring risks around legality, quality, and safety.
So yes, Jamaica has a deep ganja culture — but smart visitors move with respect. Know the difference between culture, law, and loose beach talk. As di old people say, “Smart fly nuh follow coffin go a grave.”
Herb Houses, Sacramental Ganja & Jah Livity
In Jamaica, licensed herb houses operate within the medical cannabis system. Tourists may be asked for medical documentation, registration, or a consultation process depending on the herb house and current requirements.
Jah Livity is different. Our work is rooted in Rastafarian sacramental ganja through the EABICCS religious and cultural framework. This means our mission is connected to Rastafarian spiritual practice, cultural education, community support, and the respectful sharing of sacred herb.
We are not a recreational dispensary, a commercial cannabis shop, or a street-side hustle. We operate from a place of culture, faith, and community responsibility.
Different road, same Jamaica — but yuh haffi know which road yuh pon.
What Jah Livity Is — and What It Is Not
We make this distinction clearly, out of respect for the culture we stand in and the laws we operate under.
Jah Livity is:
🌿 A social enterprise rooted in Rastafarian and Jamaican culture
🌿 Connected to the EABICCS sacramental ganja framework

We keep it clear because respect matters. When yuh know better, yuh move better.
