About US
Jah Livity
Where Culture and Consciousness Meet
At Jah Livity, we’re not just a business – we’re a movement rooted in the rich traditions of Rastafarianism and Jamaican culture. Our mission is simple: to share di vibrant spirit of Jamaica with the world while making a positive impact on our local community in Negril.
As a social enterprise, we’re deeply committed to uplifting Rastafarian and wider Jamaican communities through our sacramental ganja sales, partnerships, and cultural education.
OUR VISION
Our vision is a world filled with ONE LOVE, health, and happiness for all. We believe in unity, consciousness, and a better future for everyone, rooted in love, respect, and positive vibrations.
OUR MISSION – Giving Back To The Community
Our mission is to support our Rastafarian communities by allowing them to share their culture and values with visitors to Jamaica. We provide a platform for these communities to connect them with people who want to learn, grow, and experience the heart of Rastafari.
How We Do It
Join Us On The Journey!
We invite you to be part of our mission – sharing di sacred herb, embracing Rastafarian culture, and giving back to the community. And as we say, “Wi lickle but wi tallawah.” Join our mission and come grow with us!
Our Roots
Honoring Rastafarian Tradition
At Jah Livity, the herb is sacred. Our sacramental ganja is certified under an EABICCS license, which means it’s not just legal – it’s blessed. Each purchase of our herb supports di spiritual traditions of Rastafarianism while helping to preserve di sacred rituals that have been passed down for generations.
We believe in living consciously and respecting the earth, which is why everything we offer comes from di most natural, ethical sources. “Likkle but tallawah” – small but strong, just like us.
A Little Bit Of History
The Rasta’s use of Ganja has deep roots, tracing back to di very beginning of Rastafari in Jamaica. In 1941, one of di early teachers of Rastafari, Leonard P. Howell, founded a Rasta community called Pinnacle, home to sixteen hundred Rastafarians. At Pinnacle, Howell grew Ganja as a cash crop, and it was during dis time that Rasta discovered di spiritual properties of Ganja that enhanced their reasoning process. Soon, di Rastas turned to the Bible and found references to di sacred use of this holy plant. From here, Ganja became woven into the fabric of Rastafari culture, a tradition we proudly carry forward today.
Hand in Hand for Change
Empowering Di Community
Community is at the heart of everything we do. A portion of every purchase goes back to the EABICCS and funding initiatives that support youth, education, and local development. We’re also proud to partner with local organizations. As we say in Jamaica, “Hand go, hand comes” – what you give, comes back around.
