Giving Back To The Community
- Do good every time and good will follow ~ Jamaican proverb
At Jah Livity, giving back is di heartbeat of di whole movement. We live by One Love, One Family, One Community — because di same people who plant di herb and keep di culture strong deserve strength, support, and respect in return.
Through the Jah Livity Foundation, we stand side by side wid di Rastafarian communities dat shape our livity. From small farmers to elders to families rebuilding after Hurricane Melissa, our focus is simple: empower di people who hold up Jamaica’s roots. Real help. Real impact. Real community.
As we always say,
“Hand go, hand come.”
When yuh give to di community, di community give back — in spirit, culture, and blessings.
Uplifting Through Ganja
Our sacramental ganja is more than an herb — it’s a lifeline. For small Rastafarian farmers, the herb is sacred work: a spiritual duty, a cultural inheritance, and a way to support their families wid dignity and pride.
By giving these farmers a real platform to share their surplus sacramental herb, Jah Livity helps dem earn fair support, protect their livity, and keep authentic Rastafarian traditions alive for di next generation. Visitors get to experience the true roots of Jamaican culture, while farmers receive di respect and compensation they deserve.
And now, after Hurricane Melissa, every purchase carries even deeper meaning. You help restore farms, replace tools, rebuild grow spaces, and strengthen the people who cultivate di sacred plant wid care, intention, and reverence for the earth.
This is community upliftment — through ganja, through culture, through One Love.

🌿 Rebuilding After Melissa
When Hurricane Melissa pass through Westmoreland and Hanover, it shake di small man hard. Many of di same Rastafarian farmers who keep Jamaica’s herb culture alive lose greenhouses, drying rooms, tools, water tanks, seedlings, and in some cases, their entire crop for di season. Families lose roofs, food supplies, and stability overnight.
Jah Livity couldn’t stand up and watch dat happen.
This is our community. These are our people.
Through the Jah Livity Foundation, we stepped in immediately to help wid di rebuild — delivering supplies where vehicles could reach, replacing essential tools, supporting elders, assisting families, and helping farmers restart di sacred work of cultivating ganja.
Our mission now is twofold:
uplift di culture, and rebuild di roots dat feed it.
Every donation, every purchase, every act of love help us restore what Melissa try fi tek away — one greenhouse, one family, one community at a time.
Together, we rise stronger than before.
Join Us on The Journey
We invite you to be part of our mission – supporting the sacred herb, uplifting Rastafarian culture, and giving back to the community. As we always say, “Wi lickle but wi tallawah.” Together, we can build a brighter future for Jamaica. Join us in dis mission!
💚 Help Us Put Devices in Di Hands of Di Youth
After Hurricane Melissa, many schools across Westmoreland and Hanover flatten or damage beyond use. Classes move online — but plenty children have no tablets, no laptops, no devices at all.
We saw dis during COVID, and we see it again now:
when a child can’t log in, a whole future gets left behind.
Through the Jah Livity Foundation, we’re collecting tablets, phones, laptops — anything dat can help a child continue school. Even one device can change a young life forever.
If you can help, please donate.
Let’s make sure no child get left out of learning.
TECH FOR SCHOOL SUCCESS
Everyone understands that access to technology can be the single most important factor in a child’s success in school and in life.
It is a sad reality in Jamaica that not all children have access to even basic technology to help them with school work. Many of those children have lost more than a year of education during COVID-19 because of that and need extra help now not to get left behind permanently. Needless to say, Rasta’s children are among those most affected.
The goal of this project is to collect donations and funds to purchase and distribute new and used tablets and laptops to primary school aged children of community members in need. The devices will be distributed at an event in August 2023 just in time for the new school year. The children will also be provided with assistance in learning how to use their new devices to help them with school work.
